Please join us in celebrating Dr. Tran’s induction as a “Diplomate of the American Board of Periodontology.”

Many people are unaware that not all periodontists are board certified with the American Board of Periodontology.  After traditional dental education, all periodontists must have completed the necessary 3 years of additional training in an American Dental Association recognized residency program.  Board certified periodontists must actually go a step further and pass extensive examinations to ensure that they meet the high standards of knowledge and care set by the American Board of Periodontology.  The American Academy of Periodontology puts it this way:

“Board certification in periodontology denotes someone who has made significant achievements beyond the mandatory educational requirements of the specialty, including demonstrating a comprehensive mastery of all phases of periodontal disease and treatment and in the placement of dental implants.”

Dr. Tran has chosen to make the extra effort to become board certified because his patients deserve it.  “I want my patients to know that I am not only qualified and capable of doing what is necessary to improve their health, but also that I will go above and beyond to ensure that the care I provide is the best care that any patient can receive.”
